The 234 total points is the 2nd highest total for combined points in a tourney game. In fact the Lions under run & gun coach Paul Westhead are involved in All 5 of the top total point games. Johnny 'Lam' Jones
Today we’re remembering Mr. Johnny ‘Lam’ Jones who passed away on this date in 2019. The speedster from Lampasas, Texas earned a Gold Medal at the 1976 Olympics, running the 2nd leg for the 4x100 relay team. After a solid college career catching passes for the Texas Longhorns, Johnny was selected 2nd overall in the 1980 Draft by the New York Jets.
